Is anyone here a member of a club in Bris...south-east area?
At this point meet twice a month.
1st & 3rd Tuesday at 7pm
Very new club, think only 5 or 6 meetings have been held.
I've attended the last two.
For a new group, quite a lot of members, lot of enthusiasm & most are very new to photography. With a few members who really know their stuff.
Structure still needs to be put in place but the club as already outgrown 1st venue, tried a the Presbytery last night, but some want to give one of the meeting rooms @ the golf club a go. ( personally not a good idea ) So sooner a venue is settled on sooner some direction will be put in place I feel.

Holds meetings twice monthly at 7:30pm on the 2nd & 4th Tuesday at Fernhill Retirement Community Hall, (War Veteran's Home), 81 - 103 King Street, Caboolture.
Mix of ages and levels of experience but a friendly and active club.
RuthJ - check http://www.psq.org.au/clubs.htm for a list that may help focus your search.
The Tomaree Peninsula photography Club is having its first exhibition on Sunday 25 October in the Seascape room, Soldiers Point Bowling Club, 11 am - 8 pm for those that are interested and live in or around Port Stephens. Look forward to seeing anyone from AP on the day.
The Melbourne Camera Club in South Melbourne (www.melbournephoto.org.au) is still going strong - it's quite close to the Sth Melb Market. I did their 6 week course a few years ago (sadly not with my digi camera...must revisit that!) and it wasn't bad. It was an intro course, mostly done by lectures/tutorials with a couple of field trips thrown in. I think the fee included 6 months membership.
Does anyone in the Canberra - Queanbeyan area know of the region's camera clubs?? and their contact details. Regards, Phil
I may have posted this before - but for anyone in Melbourne, and on the eastern side of the city - we are a great club for you to join.

I was contributing to the local clubs flickr page, but they booted me from contributing, no explination. Didn't make me feel very welcome that's for sure.
Hmmm - I am also interested if there is a Brisbane club. Looks like nothing as yet.
Please be honest with your Critique of my images. I may not always agree, but I will not be offended - CC assists my learning and is always appreciate

Hi RuthJ, I realise this query stems from some time ago but felt it couldn't hurt to mention the Redlands Camera Club through the Uniting Church. Their post box is in Wellington Point and I assume their physical adress is also Wellington Point. I am not a member there but am considering joining up. Roy
I joined NCP last year. The club is based in Lindfield, a suburb of Sydney. The club meets on the 1st and 3rd Wednesday from February to early December and has a full program for 2010. You can find detail here.

If you are in the Brisbane north area, I am a member of the Aspley Camera Club. We meet twice a month on the 1st and 3rd Monday.
Have about 45-60 member and visitors each meeting, depending on the theme.
We have judging and themes the 1st Monday of the Month, and a training night on the 3rd monday of the month.
website is www.aspleycameraclub.org.au
They also have weekends away, participate in many of the competitions in the SE area and win many of them. If your free on the 1st or 3rd monday of the month, come along.
