By looks of things, I will be there at 10am as well.

Olympus Pen F with Metabones Speed Booster and Laowa 12mm f/2.8 or Voigtlander 10.5mm f/0.95 or Nikon D800 with the Laowa 12mm f/2.8. The need to keep in touch with the past is a Nikon Photomic FTn or Nikon F2A and a Nikkor 25-50mm f/4 AI
I will be there at 10am as well - are we going to meet in a particular place?

You are eager Narelle. It is still a week and a half off. Anyway, good that you have been given leave of absence.
Entrance is via Robert Street so if we meet near the corner of Robert Street and Victoria Road at 10am, we wander down the the entrance.
I went to the last open day for the last half-hour or so. From memory it was only open for 4 hours on the Saturday, so quite a few people about - I think the organisers were a bit overwhelmed by the response. Easy enough to get close in shots of the bits of machinery etc, but difficult to get wider shots without people in them.
Don't miss the quaint entertainment hall - it's on the top side, entry on Victoria Rd side.
Commendable effort here I reckon by the SHFA having a designated photography day, particularly allowing hundreds of lunatic photographers to charge about with tripods . Hopefully there will be no tripod-related incidents and we will see more of these kind of events.
A bit about the previous open day from the ABC.
Cheers.
thanks fillum.. plan to bring my 9 stop ND.. That should get rid of the people!!
(oh yeah will be there for a while)
cheers!

My youngest son may join us and I have mentioned it to a colleague at work who also might join us.
Did one have to book, or can one just lob?
I'm trying to get a day pass.

The better half and I will probably be there... With Johnno and Scotty it will be just like old times
I have to drop Mary off at the Airport for a 10:00am flight so I will then head to the Power House from the Airport. I will probably be there just after 11:00am to 12:00 noon.
It will be nice to catch up with everyone again.
Cheers

This sounds interesting. I'm not sure if I can yet, but I might be able to make it.
I haven't managed to shoot much at all since getting back to Aus and I have my tripod now too so this would be perfect.
