Definitely not a sin to ask about movie files mate, video seems to have become a part of everyday DSLR / compact life so it is an entirely fair topic on this site.
Can't help you with an answer though as I struggle with the complexity of a TV remote control.
Hi Mark. I did a couple some years ago when I had a Kodak camera, but I can't remember what prog I used, and I suspect I would have since deleted it.
A full version of Apple Quiktime will do it (not the player), but in the meantime, there are a few free refs online if you search on "free mov converter". Be careful what you get, though. Am.

I use " Video Convert Master " that will convert it to any format you like, just google that name and you'll get their website.
