G'Day,
I'm in the market for a new monitor (22"+) and there is a staggering array of product available. My question is should I get 16:9 or 16:10? Is there a difference for my needs - photo editing and general computer work.
TIA
Franz

Mongo has the same problem recently. Monitors are too "landcsape" shaped and oriented. It is very annoying and totally forgets photography as a use for monitors. I would have a 16:12 if they made one. The best you can do is 16.10 so go for that. Remember, a lot of photos are “portrait” mode and a long wide screen does not give you much to work with in portrait mode.
Thay's Mongo's 10c worth.

It is 1920 by 1200 pixels, so it's good as a full hi-def TV display (1920x1080). Usually, 22-inch and less are 1650 (or so) x 1050 pixels. Then there's the technology to consider. But if nothing else matters, then contrast should. 2c from Am...
