Forget the camera I just don't want to lose my roof. A few years back we had a super cell go through our place. It was like a mini tornado about 200 mtrs wide. Thank goodness it did not damage the house but it took out our hay shed and brought down many many gum trees on the property and demolished 200 mtrs of colourbond fencing. Took months for the damage to be fixed as it happened just before xmas. Try to get a tradesman from about 2 wks before xmas and 2 weeks after New Year, Near impossible.
It was a bit of a fizzer here. Did anyone get any good photos?

Happened around here.Hit us hard with strong winds plenty of lightning and 32mm rain in around twenty minutes.Came in quick too.
Further East and North there were trees over roads, power lines down and have heard of one roof gone.Had more rain after the storm passed,we are in a protected area at our place but it was a serious event and I kept the kids inside and made sure they didn't go out on the verandah to watch.Probably the first time we have had a decent system come though and haven't lost power in our area, but like I said...East and North did.
CC always welcome.
Looking at the News last night I was amazed at the damage it caused further down the East Coast.
Only 6mm in the rain gauge this morning better than nothing and the grey grass has greened up overnight..
We got another warning yesterday evening. The storm itself skirted Gladstone as usual although I did see lightning at a distance. I'm convinced all the heat generated from industry keeps storms away from here. We have, however, had steady rain all night and still coming down, which is welcome.
"....and the grey grass has greened up overnight.." Always amazes me how you can pour water into your yard via a sprinkler and it barely holds its own, but get a few mm of rain and it flourishes.
We still got nothing 6 mm over the last four days. The footer valve in the back dam now sitting in the mud and can no longer pump. Front dam only a puddle. We need rain so much
