In the last 2 years I began a changeover from Pentax to Nikon (D600). Last month I bought the Nikkor 70-200 f2.8 VRII. I am in love - I need bigger muscles but I love the lens.
I'm just starting to get into using prime lenses, so have just picked up the Canon 85mm 1.8 & 50mm 1.4 should be fun testing these out

b&h new catalouge in the mail today so something will be coming up
Thank You indeed I do love my 7D MK11 I love it so much I am saving up for another one so I wont have to change my two most used lenses.
Using the 300mm for the Birds every day, and the 100mm macro, should save me lots of times cleaning the sensors as I wont get as many dust bunnies on them I hope
I have also waited a long time and almost bought the 70D when it came out, as I did not want another FF camera. So Yes to me well worth the wait.
Got a D810 with some extra bits.
This could easily become the:
"Whoo! I just got bankrupted!" thread.
Off topic: Whoo! I just put my car in for $800 repairs today

Finally got a camranger, wi-fi tethering....
Running it off the laptop, tablet and the mobile phone.
First test was on myself, and to be able to pinpoint the focus is fantastic. Can't wait to test it out in the field.

Well it happened, my computer of 4 years decided that it couldn't do it anymore and the time came for a replacement. Now, I know it's a laptop and laptops are not great for photo editing, but it came down to logistics and what I could fit onto my minimal workspace - I got a new Alienware 17" Laptop! It doesn't crash when I try to do memory-intensive work in Photoshop anymore!! Yay!!!
Hi Erin, Sad but what a Happy ending
Thank you!! Unfortunately my old computer was a laptop too and it'd cycle from warm to cool and back again with colour temperature, so I never knew where I stood with it
I've been busy ebaying, and have just taken delivery of a lightly used Pentax K30, Tamron 18-200 and Lowepro AW140 bag, all for $400. This is because no. 2 son said he "wants a camera like Dad's" for his upcoming 12th birthday. No problem son, just mention 'camera' and I'm in.

A new laptop which I've been setting up today. I've gone with a two disk set up - all the programs are running off a solid state disk and then there's a normal hard drive to store my files. Pretty impressed with the speed so far!
Sort of photographic, just ordered a 5K retina iMac The screen just blew me away.
