Hi I found this site today after I googled Better Beamer and found a thread here.
I am in Brisbane and have been taking photos for some years now . my equipment at this time is a nikon d7000 with a range of lenses from a tamron 10-18mm wide to a borrowed nikon F4 300mm. I take photos of everything but bird photography seems to be my favourite as we have so many birds around my property and in the area I live. I also love to take surfing photos, landscapes, macros and most of all pics of my beautiful grandchildren and their friends. I have recently bought a new tripod and head and I am experimenting with slow shutter macros etc. I am buying a sigma 150-500 lens next week to help me with my bird photography as many of the species in this area of brisbane are tiny and live high in the trees.
I do have photos posted on the pbase site but have been very slack about posting new photos this last year.
I AM looking forward to posting on the forums and reading others posts.

Welcome to AP. I have been playing around with taking photos of birds but only have a 55 - 250 lens and have been looking at the sigma 50 - 500 or the 150 - 500 so you will have to let me know how it goes with the 150 - 500.

I havew used TCs with my 80-200 nikon 2.8 and also withthe borrowed F4 300mm I find the 1.4TC works great and the @Xs is ok but it will be nice to get the 150-500 with that much more reach and 6.3 at 500mm should really be good.
