Hi All,
Just read an article that Nikon has released a new range of Point & Shoot cameras.
http://www.photographybay.com/2012/02/01/new-nikon-point-and-shoots-p510-p310-s30-s9300-s6300-s4300-s3300-l810-l26/

As a Canon shooter, I found the article quite amusing.. the new top of the range P510 comes equiped with "16.1-megapixel Backside Illuminated (BSI) CMOS sensor" Now Nikon owners have proof the Sun really does shine out of their @55!

Don't be too rude or we Nikon owners won't bend over and you'll live in perpetual darkness. Then you'll really find out the limitations of the Canon flash units :D :D

This sensor sounds like one that Fuji came up with sometime last year, so the sensors could be made by Fuji.

The advantage of the backside illuminated sensors is that the circuitry is on the rear of the sensor instead of the front, allowing more light to hit the sensor.

Is it just me or virtually every P&S cameras from every manufacturer are all *yawn* products.
30x zoom, 36x zoom, 42x zoom woohoo. 10mp, 12mp, 14mp, 16mp... Yeah!
How many fps?? Now I can capture a 50 shot sequence of the 'kiss' at the next wedding I attend. Oh, the buffer stops at 20, damn. I missed the actual kiss cos mashed the shutter too early.
Rant over.
