Just thought I'd put a couple of images up shot from the new EF 135 f/2L lens on the 1.3 cropped sensor.

These were shot as jpegs in camera and resized only for attaching here.

Looking forward to learning how to use this lens better and thought others considering it might be interested in virtually untouched results direct from camera.

The 135/2L is a stunning lens.

It is incredibly quick to focus (quicker than my 300/2.8L IS), tack-sharp and provides creamy blur.

If you're keen to see what it can deliver, here's a collection of my images captured with it:

I use it mostly for portraiture and still-life images, as its 0.9m minimum focus distance allows it to fill the frame quite nicely. I shoot only on a full-frame DSLR though, so my framing will be different. I had an EOS 20D when I bought the lens, so my earlier photos were shot with that.

Its my weapon of choice when I do outside portrait work. It always amazes me the brokeh this lens produces.

Awesome lens. The sample shots seals the deal for me. Picking one up pretty soon as well.

My favourite lens ,love it for portrait work (can be unforgiving with it`s sharpness so you do have to be a littl careful at times) and good for some sports work, very rarelly use over f2.8. Hope you learn to enjoy using it as much as l do.

Hey mate.
It is a superb lens. I was going to sell it to fund the purchase of an 85mm f1.2 but after looking at the images i have taken with it and the amazing sharpness and contrast.............decided to buy the 85 f1.2 and keep the 135 as well, its too good to get rid of.
