You don't need a book. We have the New To Photography section of the site library, that gives you everything you just asked for.

So join in, read, post some photos, that is what this site is here for.

Hi Andie, and welcome to AP.

If it's all new to you, start with Automatic mode. Read the manual on that first, then try other modes. Meanwhile, ask question here. Apart from the resources available here, you could try also try library for titles like "Understanding/Digital Photography/For Beginners".

:gday: & Welcome
- lets see some photos in the main CC forums (http://www.ausphotography.net.au/forum/forumdisplay.php?5) and have fun!

Maybe have a look at the New to Photography (http://www.ausphotography.net.au/forum/showlibrary.php?title=Books:New_To_Photography_Book) book and the Learning Plan in the book.

Hi Andie, welcome to AP. The "New to Photography" section here is a wealth of information and well worth a look.

Also, just get snapping and post up your pics here. there is always plenty of feedback in how to improve your images.

good luck!!

Wayne.
