Friendly Frog @ Birthday Waterhole

Hi folks, given that this is my first ever picture post in AusPhotography, I thought I start with a "friendly face".

Was being camped at Birthday Waterhole in the West MacDonnell Ranges near Alice Springs when suddenly at night these little fellows started to emerge from the sand. Had to be careful with moving around the camp so as not to accidentally step on them. Not quite sure what type of burrowing frog it is though.

I cannot help with the ID Tom seeing I cant see all of this lovely creature did you by chance take a side on photo.

Thanks for your link, Mary Anne. I found a side-on shot indeed. Still can't identify it at Frogs Australia. But that's ok. Cuties anyway.
