Has anyone got a 24-105 L lens that can tell me if it has the rubber seal on the mount end same as the 17-40L does? Canon website says the 24-105 lens is resistant to moisture and dust, as it does for the 17-40 lens, but wondering if it has the bayonet seal as well?
Thanks

I am not sure it is "rubber" but, yes, mine also got a seal. As I never noticed this before it made me check my other L lens, the 100-400 mm. It appears that lens has not got such a seal although it is supposed to be weather and dust proff.

The Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM does indeed have a rubber gasket at the bayonet mount which assists with weather resistance.

This is the case with all Canon lenses which offer dust and water resistance.

Note that no Canon lens is 'weather-proof'.
