When we go out on our trips in our caravan my wife likes to do a bit of birdwatching. I'd like to get her a decent spotting scope and the Vortex Razor HD 20-60X85 angled appears to be a good option.

Searching the net brings up two retailers in Australia - prices are $2500 at *removed* and $2200 at *removed* - and a lot in the US at $1600. I suppose by the time you add postage and GST to the US price it will be more like $1900 over here. I would prefer to buy in Australia.

Does anyone know of any other good supplier over here, or is there an overseas option I should look at?

regards

John

are they used for shooting or just viewing or other? It looks like a sniper spotters scope

Bushnell makes some cheapish and affordable ones, they have reps in Australia so its easy to return them for warranty.

best I had ever used were the Leica ones, amazing clarity and brightness! But the price really hurts at 4 figures

From memory I paid about $300-00 for a spoting scope from my local gun shop.
