Hi all, a question about the Canon 50d film camera, can anyone tell me what lens mount they have? have tried google but can't seem to find anything. Have the oportunity to buy a lens that was used on one but not sure if it would fit/work on my 450D

I am completely unfamiliar with a 50D film camera ?? are you sure of the model

If it is an EOS then it will be the same as the current digital cameras in having an EF mount.
The previous incarnation of Canon bodies were and FD mount.

are you sure it is not just an EOS 50 otherwise known as the Elan II, if so it is and EF mount

Yep D means digital, so my guess is the OP means the EOS 50, or the T-50 (which was part of a series in the 1980's that incorporated autofocus and in camera metering for the first time (if my memory serves me correctly)
