My name is John and I'm currently in Perth after having moved around this country of ours A LOT !! My partner and I will be here for about another year before we up-anchor and become nomadic again.
I intend aquiring a few more photographic skills, updating my gear a bit and grabbing better images of the things we see next time 'round...
I've always loved "taking photos" but never took the time to slow down and actually try to capture the "mood" of any of the stunning places we've been & seen. This is criminal.
I can "drive" an slr but consider myself to be nothing more than a "Provisional Driver" but realise that I need to start "seeing" better.
Anyway, I hope to suck as much knowledge, experience and inspiration from this website and its people as I possibly can!
I currently have a Pentax *ist D and a few lenses but I'm toying with the idea of "jumping ship" to a nikon or a canon - only for a full sensor - I'll play with a couple in a store and go with whichever feels more comfortable.
I'm looking forward to this experience.
