Hi Folks.
After several tries over some time Col (colinbm) managed to send me the large raw file referred to late in this thread. (http://www.ausphotography.net.au/forum/showthread.php?88541-Can-a-lens-be-that-bad-!)

He used a service found here... http://www.wetransfer.com/
which allows files of up to 2GB to be sent.

But there is still a catch, it seems. Your mail provider might have email size receiving restrictions. BigPond has about 15 MB max size.

With Yahoo mail I received a 14MB attachment, and the new version of Yahoo mail uses YouSendIt to send large attachments (<=2GB).

So, there are two possible restrictions involved, but at least they can be sent.

Why not just upload it to dropbox (http://www.dropbox.com/)?

There are lots of 'file sharing' sites out there, that you upload to, then give the recipients the address to (and password if you want) and they download it from there
