Avoid shooting in the middle of the day, morning and afternoon are best when the sun is diffused through the atmosphere.

Settings vary by lighting conditions, but the rule of thumb is 4 people in shot you want to use at least f4, 5 people f5.6 etc

try to get them not to wear white as it tends to blow out...I usually advise them not to wear matching clothes but to co-ordinate although they dont always listen,.

If they are little kids and run around alot, use back-button focus instead of shutter focus, its much more accurate.

Thats all I can think of

Don't do anything new that you've never tried

Find a playground in shade so there is plenty of set pieces for kids to play on and shade so the light is ok.

Tamika it depends on what camera you have, but as Kiwi said, if you havent heard of it, then its best to stick to what you know.
