I am considering replacing our aging IXUS60 (6mp) with the Canon G12.
To compliment my Canon 400D gear.

Does anyone have any feedback on this camera or other recomendations?

Thanks in advance

May I ask how G12 can compliment the 400D gear? The only item can be used on both camera is the Canon Speedlite.

I was thinking about it's SLR type controls which aren't available on the IXUS, this would give me flexibilty when taking the main gear isn't practical.
And yes being to use the speedlite on it is an advantage the IXUS doesn't have..plus the ixus 6mp V G12 10mp

If you want to use the Canon speedlite on your next purchase, than either the G11/G12 is your pick IMO.

I on the other hand has gone for the Sony NEX5 when I don't want to carry a 15KG bag around :p

Have a look at the Canon S95. Won't take a flash but its manual controls are very nice feature and is much more compact than the G12. The quality of the pictures is also great. It's the camera I keep with me at all times.
