The water is expected to get quite a bit higher. We are ok but my thoughts and prayers go to those badly affected.

Jesus Gary, that's scary mate.

I'm watching the ABC News and I can't believe what's happening.

32 suburbs in Brisbane have just gone on flood alert.

You take care Mate.

I wondered what it looked like out there.

Crazy crazy weather. We've had some landslips on our property, lost a rock the size of a VW Bug into our creek (20m from the house). All ok, but by george there's some water falling from the sky and running down the hill.

Take care Gary. My grandfather is in one of the nursing homes in Laidley, so it's a bit scary to see water like this in the main street. We're over near Rosewood, but can't get out in any direction now.

And still the rain falls.

We heard about Laidley & district being hit pretty when at the evacuation centre in Lowood. Hope all is on the mend mate and you are doing OK now. I never thought this would happen to this extent and I have said to my wife during floods over the last 3 yrs "Don't worry, if we go under the whole of the Lowood district will be gone" - :-( guess what ?. It has been a harrific time for so many - I pray the good Lockyer people of this district can recover OK.

Yes Mike much higher and I would have been looking for Noah!!!
Thanks all yes the worst is over but the recovery will be slow. A very large number of homes damaged (Including my daughters) and the impact on the farming community will take a long time to restore.
Tell you what though , this sort of event lets you know your true friends and the really good people in the community , to them my heart felt thanks.
