Hi All

Just wondering if it's possible to delete the jpg only if the shooting mode was raw+jpg on a D300?

Not that i've needed to before but in case a card was almost full it would be handy.

You go out without a spare card :confused013

Sorry it doesn't answer your question, but I don't leave home without 2 spare cards & batteries.

Fair comment i guess, tho i don't leave home without my camera bag and 2 x 16g + 2 x 8g cards, 5 x batts + 12 x AA for flash or grip extras, but i digress.
My question was more curious than anything, and who knows when it just may come in handy.

Unless there is a menu setting that I don't know about it doesn't look like you can delete just the jpg.

Not sure why you are shooting raw+jpg anyway. There is a perfectly good jpg embedded in NEF raw file. This jpg gets updated every time you edit the raw file with Capture NX2 (not sure if View updates this jpg though). Capture NX2 and View NX2 display the embedded jpg and extract it when you convert from raw to jpg. Another piece of software that will extract the jpg out of the raw is Photo Mechanic.
