I recently bought a Rolleiflex T 3.5 and can't quite work out how to change the ASA setting. On the main knob there appears to be a window showing the ASA setting, but it keeps changing when I turn it to match the red needle to the black needle.

Any Rolleiflex users out there who can shed some light on this?

One of the nut assemble within the dial may be loose. Be sure to know where the original dial was pointing before tightening...
This might help:

Ok, I've run this past a technician. His advice was that something has broken inside and it won't allow me to choose the ASA setting. It's a $200 repair. So I've asked the seller for a refund. hmmm

if you can get a refund that's all well and good, but i wouldn't be too concerned about asa settings on a tlr. most meter's on rollei's don't work all that well, and you may be wise investing in a hand meter if you don't already have one. or better yet, just guess :th3:.

Agree with Tom, a light meter is a good investment if you are going to do a lot of work with this camera.

Or/And:
1) Try to fix it yourself (I repaired two 35mm cameras once.)
2) If you have (for the sake of compactness) a P+S, use that as a light meter.

........or even something like an iphone with a lightmeter app

Sorry for the late reply. I haven't been on for a while.

Thanks for the suggestions guys. I got my part refund because I wanted to keep the camera. It is now being fixed. However, I'd still want to get a lightmeter. I have no idea however and not sure which to get.

The cheapest one seems to be the sekonic 308s, do you guys know whether it's enough for me? I don't do any flash photography, just general street shooting and landscape work.

The 308 is a great meter for what you need.

Been looking at getting this meter too - looks like it has everything covered.
