Yes I am serious!
Free range pigs at that!
I guess I wont need a model release, or makeup or hair stylist.
More like gum boots and a sunhat!
Or maybe running shoes.......I wonder how friendly these pigs are? :crossed:
The things I get myself into!
:lol::oink:

cheers

Unlike Sambar and other deer that roam free range in this country I don't think pigs are subject to a minimum calibre requirement but as a safe bet I would use a 300 Remington (http://www.accuratereloading.com/300rum.html).

Oh bugga, I typed all that and realised that you meant to photograph pigs.

hehehehe well i seriously considered what was under the seat of the ute........just as a safety measure mind you!
Doesnt quite measure up to a 300 remington but has " photographed " a few snakes in its time...

oh dear all this is pretty politically incorrect.......please remember this is all in fun ( except the bit about my pig job! )

Ok Jan, let's get serious and you tell us more about this porcine assignment that you have landed.
How many pigs over what period of time?
Images on disc or printed?
Ongoing rights of the customer to use the images?
How much do you think your time is worth?

Im a bit rasher than Andrew, but crackling along to do a job without knowing how much bacon you'll need will just leave egg on your face

I used to work in a piggery lol, 5 years in fact. just remember they're incredibly curious animals, and like to "taste" anything at all, whether tied down or not! I envy you, I'd love to get a job taking photos of pigs!! they're my all time favourite animal :) :th3:

ok it seems we have an issue with pig photos.......this is for print on the cover of the APL something something.....that goes out to all the piggeries. I have a mate who is the ------?? a big wig at pigs.....
I just spoke to her and it seems the piggeries dont want photos of their pigs......not even the nice free range ones. I can understand the intensive piggeries not being keen.......but all she wants is a nice paddock with piggies in it........
She is waiting for a couple more to get back to her......
So it is single image for print, cover, probably ongoing.....I would supply a high res on disc, license to use but not copyright i imagine......

i imagine......

Ok, now we are getting somewhere but the quoted bit above is the stumbling block.

There should be no imagine, it should be clear cut, black and white, yes or no. Cross your Ts and dot your Is BEFORE you start putting prices together.

I agree but I better wait and see if the piggeries will co operate.....
oh and my mate knows how I do the copyright bit cause I have shot stuff for her before....we have had long discussions about copyright.......but it dealt with real estste.

Bummer the pig gig is off....:(
Seems the local pig producers were less than enthusiastic about sharing their piggeries.
Stock photo's has another buyer.....

Happy to help if need be. Too many morons around here causing owners and leaseholders to stop allowing access.:angry0:
