Novex R Timer

Hi gang.

I recently purchased a Novex R timer, but am confused as to how to use it.

My Novex Student timer, you press the button, it stays down, the timer continues to zero and the button pops back up.

With the R timer, I have to hold the button down to see the second timer needle move towards zero. If I don't hold the button down, it makes a noise as though it's working but nothing seems to be happening.

Is this normal behavior for this model? Does anyone know where I can download the manual for this timer?

Spidey. What is it for? All I could see were "enlargement" timers.

Who makes it, and can you get it from their site?

It's a darkroom enlarger timer. And no, the manual is not available on their website. As far as I know, they no longer have an active website.
