Long time away. There is no specific related reason regarding this forum: just work and life.

Noticed I needed to post here, (and it's good idea to say hello again), to gain access again to the forums.

Trust those whom I corresponded with are still here and are all healthy, if only a bit older.

BTW note to Rick et. al- the reinstate forgotten/lost password works a treat, (unlike some other sites)

Also - can someone answer if there is a reason why the site is not "HTTPS": in my case neither my browser nor my firewall like that situation and I have to manually enable connection . . . etc.

regards

WW

WB, William W.

It sure has been a while since you regaled us with your erudite observations.

As for "https", I'll leave that to Rick (or Kym). In the meantime, do you have to
enable it each time and there's no setting to make an exception for the site?

Hi

Thanks for the kind note.

Yep - already on to that "make an exception" in the browser - that bit was easy.
My firewall --- I am still pondering: there must be a way.

Anyway, I am not perplexed doing a work around; it was a curiosity question as to "why not https ?"

Hi.

Re HTTPS, the S stands for secure, and is used when sites retain credit card details etc, or hold lots of personal information (address etc) We don't, so I have never set it up (its an additional cost per month)
