The link below related to composition.
Gestalt Principles. How psychology influences your design strategy. I've watched a number of videos relating to this topic but most have left me a bit confused. Gestalt theory is often viewed as something for "artists" but the composition of an image is dependent on the person with the camera, the artist. Another way of thinking about composition as you look at the world through the camera.

PS - In the example towards the end, I focused on the small central circle and not the letter "a" - sigh, what is wrong with me.;)

You are not alone Dennis, I did too and was surprised when she said the letter a.

Hi Brigitte, I was pretty conventionally captured by the "a"... Definitely a very interesting theory which can help to refine our way of taking photos.
