Some terrible news on the weekend a family member took ill and was admitted to hospital on Monday, she’s in ICU on a life support machine.

The medical term the doctor used is she’s f****d and has advised us to turn off the life support machine and let her go, he said if she comes out of the coma it will take a lot of $’s to keep her alive and the quality of life will be low.

We are waiting for family to arrive to say their goodbyes.

Sad really she is only 9 years old but in computer years she’s well into her 90’s so I guess I’ll have to buy a new computer.

:lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol::lol:

At least we'll save the expense of a GWS card :p
Can you salvage any parts/use it as a door-stop/paper-weight/...?

It’s a 27” Mac so maybe a ship anchor.

Actually originally I went to a ship shop (say that fast) to buy an anchor and they referred me to Harvey Norman.

Well really good news the new heart (SSD hard drive) that was transplanted just under a year ago failed and they replaced it under warranty, so she is up and running around again just like a 9 year old.

Have to say life without a computer is like having both ya arms cut off and needing to go to the toilet.

Interesting, as just yesterday I was wondering about how a Samsung 1TB SSD would perform.
(Gee, I hope it wasn't one of those!!)

Ay?! ADATA?!

Cr:eek:pes! I have 2 of them in my lappy... - Just recently I was thinking I'd
change them for some Samsungs at twice the capacity. 'Cept they've been
as stable as anything.
