I can't post the pictures directly because they are not my photos. The lady that has asked for help has been helpful when I've asked her to ID plants posted by others here on AP.

Would this be scarlet pimpernel a bit off colour :( ?

The second might be a lupine species/variety.

Looked in a few Native Sites no luck there with the taller purple flowered plant Here is the Link I use to ID Natives (http://anpsa.org.au/gallery.html)

Looking thought a few more sites I cannot find that plant so most likely a Weed, suggest you get in touch with your DPI if your friend needs to know its correct ID
