Hi folks!

I'll be visiting Melbourne for holiday and then taking a road trip out to the Great Ocean Road + Grampians.
Seeking out ideas for places to visit + photograph.
If anyone happens to be in that area around that time, perhaps we can arrange a meet-up! :)

Approximate itinerary:

7 Oct Sat - Melbourne
8 Oct Sun - Melbourne
9 Oct Mon - Melbourne
10 Oct Tue - Melbourne
11 Oct Wed - G.O.R. to Warrnambool
12 Oct Thu - Grampians
13 Oct Fri - Grampians
14 Oct Sat - return to Melbourne
15 Oct Sun - Fly off to Singapore

Thanks!

Hi Kevin, I would love to have a meet-up with you. I live in Glen Waverley, not too far from Melbourne CBD. Shoot me a PM when you are close to arrive. I am a photography beginner so perhaps you can teach me a trick or two :)

Kev. Pity!! (Can't meet up again.) I was in Melb/Vic/GOR a year ago. I hope you enjoy it as much as we did
(which was a lot)

Next visit you'll be due back around these parts, won't ya?:D

Unfortunately those dates clash with my schedule for that week.

Haven't been to the Grampians(and surrounding areas) for a long time either.

I take off O'Seas on the 7th Oct -11th Nov. Would have liked to meet up as we don'y often see many meet up posts for Melb around here. Enjoy your trip.

Ok that sounds good !
I'll be staying around South Melbourne area. Perhaps a sunrise or sunset shoot at a good spot with water, city lights... :)

Been ages since I visited the GOR, and never been to the Grampians.
Hope the skies will be kind!

Will try to squeeze in a trip down to NSW sometime soon!

Take a day trip and have a look and ride on Puffing Billy. http://puffingbilly.com.au/en/
Reckon that would be pretty different to what you are used to.:)

Hi, I am around on the weekends in Melbourne. Let me know your plans , would be great to meet up.

That sounds great!

I was trawling photo sites for ideas.

Is Brooks Jetty at St Kilda a good spot ?
Or any other recommendations ? :D

I am not familiar with Brooks Jetty or St Kilda but happy to look into it.
Have been to Princes Pier before on an Aus Photo meet which was great.
There are walking tours of the city / laneways which are always an option.
I live in the outer eastern suburbs, close to the Dandenong Ranges and know lots of sites there which would fill a day - Puffing Billy from the trestle bridge, Rhododendrum Gardens, Nicholas Gardens, William Ricketts. etc

Returned from Melbourne last weekend! :)
Fantastic weather in general, with the occasional severe weather warning

So sorry that I didn't end up being able to arrange any meet-up.
Plans were too fluid to confirm anything.
Enjoyed myself with a bit of everything (hiking, cycling, driving, eating, and last but not least photography)
