I am just getting back into photography after a lapse of 25 years.
In those days I had some basic SLR equipment (Ricoh) and did some of my own developing.

Now again using basic DSLR equipment: Nikon D3100 with standard 18-55 and 55-200 plus a 35mm prime lens (which I understand is the 50mm equivalent in DX format). I'm challenged getting the best out of my camera and coming to terms with new terminology so I guess I'm really a noob again.

I'm enjoying my increased control over depth of field that I now have, or is that Bokeh?

Cheers

Rob

Hi and welcome aboard, Rob.
Terminology, eh? You'll soon pick it up.

Look in the Library for useful things and info.
From the sounds of it, you might be up for Intermediate.

Meanwhile, don't hesitate to ask Qs if you really want to know.

G'day Rob, welcome aboard.
Don't be afraid to post photos and ask questions as a way to get into this DSLR stuff. If you just sit and look and try and figure , well it will take an age to learn.
Ask why others photos were done a certain way and post your photos for CC.
