Sometimes I think its good to let the dark and grungy 'shine' through - these taken near Footscray Station.

I've always liked street scenes grunged going against those who are photo purists ;)

I love this part of town. Such history there and I think these "neighbourhood" mood photos will be great to look back on in 20years when they finally turn Footscray completely into shiny cardboard apartments. Well done.

These are great - love the angles and processing. Nothing like that where I live.

A very interesting effect. I was trying to make a dilapidated house image look more dismal, and gave up. Now I see what is possible, I will try again. Thanks for posting. regards marty.

Why are they in Not For Critique?

Jim: It is a old Thread and Nick does not come on very much these days as he is now a Moderator on another Forum.
Most likely does not have the time to reply to all CC posts like he used too, so in fairness he has put it here.

Someday someone will look at these and say "it is a bygone era". Well captured and processed.

Let's hope so.
They did replace steam and the coal probably gave out more emission than these diesels (that's acutely debatable as steam could have been much more efficient if research $$$s had been invested before we moved on to diesel.)
but there has to be a better way way to power things.
