Tamron have announced a G2 (Generation 2) version of their 150-600mm telephoto lens.

And this should please Uncle Arthur, it has an optional 'dock', the TAMRON TAP-in Utility. http://www.tamron.co.jp/en/lineup/tapin/

I'll be very interested to see some reviews on this and how it stacks up against the previous version, and the Nikon 200-500mm and the two Sigma 150-600mm's.

Waiting (im)patiently for some reviews on this lens.

Tamron are promising elimination of CA and internal reflections, improved AF speed and VC.

I can't imagine Tamron putting this out unless there is also a significant increase in resolution, or maybe just enough to take it past the Sigma 'S' and the Nikon 200-500mm.

If it comes up roses I may even consider parting with my Nikon 300mm f4, something that I swore that I'd never do.

I have the 1st version & it can take sharp shots even close to its max F/L, if this new upgraded lens can improve on the original (you can bet your bickies they will have compared it with the Sigma Sport for reference) it should be a no brainer as it will undoubtedly be way cheaper than anything Nikon or Canon have.
