So, I'm very aware that I've been dead quiet lately. I've been backpacking for a while now, some weeks it's all about photography, other weeks the camera hardly comes out of the bag. I've passed up some huge photos to just enjoy moments instead...

... and I'm perfectly OK with that.

One thing I have been doing reasonably religiously though is taking photos of a lego figure styled in my likeness. It's a "nearly every day" project. I doubt I'll ever get around to sharing them all (he has a facebook page that is collecting them all), but I'll make an effort to put some of the ones I'm more proud of in here.

I understand that this isn't a CC section, but if people want to make some suggestions about things to do with him, that's most welcome. The bulk of the photos are being taken with a Fuji X100S. It's a great little camera.

I love it. I presume the background is real but it looks like a painting.

Looking at your flikr photostream, you have been to some amazing places.
The lego pics are great. They add an extra dimension to your travels.

you are right about choosing to not take photos. Sometimes we get so hung up getting that shot, that we miss out on experiencing the spirit of a place.

Perhaps [your alter ego] could try a spot of Wanderung (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lUnS-pGEp6w).:D

I love it too! The shots are well taken and there is context. That's more than one can say about the myriad of shots out there with the very popular cardboard stick figure.

Thanks, all. This is still ticking along nicely in the US, about to decamp to Central America which should bring a nice change of flavour to some of these photos.

Love these, and the processing, particularly the last one. The lego man adds interest to the landscapes.
