I've done similar and worse, didn't realise how bad some shots were until I got interested in photography.

I have been there and done the same.
It bugged the hell out of you when you download them and see that.
But you get over it quite quick and tell yourself that it is a lesson learn.
Well that's what I told myself.

Got to love the shutter lag on the old compacts.
Although when I look at most of my friends holiday snaps they verge on worst for me, as nearly every single one has one or both of them as the main subject, and nothing of their holiday. But some people like that stuff.
