The Colour Runs are growing in popularity here & look like they'd be a fun photo opportunity.
Basically a fun run where the runners get coloured powder thrown all over them .
The colour powder is cornstarch + food dyes.

if you are planning on shooting at one of these, you might want to read this info on what damage the powder can do from Lensrentals in the US ....

Thanks for that info and link Matt.
I had never heard of them before and my second thought after the seeing the ingress into lenses was same as lensrentals, what about the runners and bystanders lungs, it can't possible be good for them.

I had heard both about Colour Runs and about the damage to camera gear they have created. The lensrental blog is not the only company that has experienced this. I certainly would not be going near one of these runs with my camera gear.

I certainly won't be going anywhere near these events full stop. Do a quick google search - a commercial event masquerading as a charity event sums it up best....
