Hi All.

My name is Brent, but on the www as TattooedMac. Im a Apple Aficionado with 6 Macs in the house including 27" iMac, couple MBP and 1 MBA, original PPC G3 and a iMac DV SE from 2000 (the coloured all in ones with carry handle on top), and they are all in working order. There is 6 iPhones of all description and 2 iPads and iPad Mini Retina. Have the house decked out wirelessly with Airport Express's and TimeCapsule running them all with Apple TV's on 3 HTDV's. Im happy and love my Multimedia as you can tell. Im also a Beta Tester, iOS Developer and a Kickstarter Backer.

Being a budding iOS Developer writing my first App at the moment and hope to have it finished in the 3rd Q of the year. I work from home, being on a Vets Pension, and iOS Developing and Digital Photography keeps me busy.
I got into Digital Photography properly 18 months ago and started out with a :nlogo: D7000. Its was only 3 months ago, that i sold the d7000 and a 70-200mm lens for more than i paid and bought a Nikon D7100.
So my gear list goes like :

Nikon D7100
Nikon AF-S DX NIKKOR 18-105mm f3.5-5.6G ED VR
Nikon AF 50mm f1.8D
Sigma 70-300mm f4-5.6 APO DG Macro
Tokina 11-16mm F2.8 AT-X116 Pro DX II
Kenko PRO 300 AF DGX 2.0X Telephoto Converter
Manfrotto 290 (MK293A4 + 494RC2) Tripod
Nikon SB-700 Speed Light
And multiple filters for the Lens

I have been doing a bit of everything when it comes to shooting, Landscapes, Seascapes, Flora and a few Portraits. What really interests me is Light Painting and Night Photography and will be doing a lot more of this in the near future. I have ordered myself a Pixel Stick so i can produce some amazing Light Painting shots, and I'm reading a bit about night photography. I do all this for the enjoyment of it, and hope to have some images published and making me $$, but what really gets me about Digital Photography is the Technical side of it.
Without going and doing a University/Tafe course to teach me things, from day one, i haven't shot a single image in Auto, as i want to learn and know, why this does this, and this does that.

Knowing is knowledge and knowledge is priceless. With the spread of Lenses I have, I believe I'm well on the way of getting into the intricacies of Digital Photography. Its becoming a passion of mine now, and staying with the Apple side of things, I use Aperture with NIK Suite plugins got gifted the OnOne Perfect 8 Suite, and because of my Beta Testing, I have used and written about the MacPhun Products and have their Pro Apps, going me the Aperture Plugins as well.
Im still learning, and still have a heck of a lot to learn, so I'm looking forward to getting into the community, meeting some great people and learning off you all.

HI My name is Brent, and I'm happy to be here :D

Welcome TattooedMac. Passed through your neck of the woods for the first time about 6 months ago and will make certain it is not the last time. Look forward to seeing your photos for a bit of inspiration the next time I head over from the South-West.
