Hi Everyone,

I am new to the amazing world of photography- have pretty much no idea where to start. Even this forum is looking a bit complicated to me-took a while to figure out how to use it. I have a canon 60D and a 18-55mm lens and like to take portrait. At the moment my only subject is my baby son but looking forward to take lots of amazing photos once i learn a bit more about photography.

Welcome to AP. Enjoy the site. Whilst it may look complicated, start exploring and you will soon find it has a structure. The Map (http://www.ausphotography.net.au/forum/showlibrary.php?title=Site_Map) might help you a little in that regard. Looking forward to seeing some of your photos.

G'day Gialandan.

I am new to the amazing world of photography- have pretty much no idea where to start. Even this forum is looking a bit complicated to me-took a while to figure out how to use it. .....

Spend a little time looking around and you'll get used to what's here. Like most new things, takes a bit to get used to.
Don't be afraid to post photos, ask questions and generally get involved. Helps us all learn.
Just in case you haven't found it, here's a free course, some of which may help you on your photographic journey .... http://www.ausphotography.net.au/forum/showlibrary.php?title=Indexes:New_To_Photography_Book
