Any reason why you are looking at a hand strap over something like a black rapid?

If you intend using your camera on a tripod, there are options to put a arca swiss clamp on your strap. Black rapid do sell something but it's pretty expensive and I wouldn't consider it for that price when you can build your own for about $30.

I have battery grips on both my 400D and 7D and use hand straps on both combined with a Quick Rapid double sling (all 3 available on Ebay for under $35 the lot here (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Quick-Rapid-Double-Dual-Shoulder-Strap-Sling-Belt-For-Two-Cameras-DSLR-Black-/360670353271?pt=AU_Cameras_Photographic_Accessories&hash=item53f9a0d777) and here (http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Canon-E2-Hand-Strap-Wrist-Grip-EOS-60D-50D-1D-1Ds-Mark-II-N-5D-DSLR-Black-/400473543250?pt=AU_Cameras_Photographic_Accessories&hash=item5d3e155252)) I have been using this combo for about 3 years now and find it great for both birds/wildlife and sports/motor sport.
Cheers
Keith.
