Hello people,

I am new to photography, bought my Canon 1000D camera maybe 3 years ago when my daughter was born but never had time to decently play with it and get into it until now. My cousin recomended this forum to me the other day and here I am. I will post some of my photos later on, once I make time to do so. Anyway I have already stared reading some of the topics and it's really, really informative. Thanks all.

Maybe have a look at the New to Photography (http://www.ausphotography.net.au/forum/showlibrary.php?title=Indexes:New_To_Photography_Book) book and the Learning Plan in the book.

Hi from dizzying heights of amateur photography in northern NSW.

The best way to learn to swim is jump in the water. The best way to take good images is to use your camera a lot.

Look forward to seeing some of your work.

Cheers Mark
