You must have been a very good boy. Enjoy your new toy and looking forward to some amazing shots with it. At least as a Nikon shooter I won't be suffering lens envy with this.

Yep she's a big one :) I have had a quick play in the back yard but got some workj to take care of before I can get out and give it a good go. Hoping next weekend :) First impression - man it is very fast at focusing!!

I don't think that is yours. That was earmarked for me. Santa has not been good, delivering to the wrong address... Have fun with it cheers Brian

LOL Brian - you may be correct but I think in this instance I am inclined to point out that possession is 9 tenths of the law :p

:) it's a beautiful lens :)

You should know Shelley :) I cannot wait to try it out properly. Looking like the weekend of the 11th / 12th now. I had another quick play in the garden with my 1.4 extender on - that gives it an equivalent focal length of 700....I took a couple of shots of the cat as he sat under the bushes. I am amazed that I can get a clear image at 1/100 at focal length 700.

1.4 rarely comes off mine, it's greAt for birding. Enjoy.

Enjoy your trip - we are hoping to go back sometime in 2014 - we have enough Qantas Frequent Flyer points for free airfares which is a bonus LOL.
