Considering we haven't done much in the way of advertising, you'd be forgiven for not knowing about InFocus Australasia, Australia's newest photography magazine.

It comes out every month for the iPad (Android is coming at some stage) and is totally FREE.

We've been getting some great feedback about it and there's plenty of great content in the works for future issues.

Issue six of InFocus Australasia is out now and includes interviews with world-renowned wedding shooter Rocco Ancora and digital artist Gee Greenslade, tutorials on retouching portraits in Photoshop and shooting landscapes, as well as an in-depth look at creating professional-looking DVDs from your video projects. There's also plenty of new camera and accessory information as well as this month's cover story where we look at the world of mobile phone photography.

If that weren't enough, we look at Lightroom 4's Print module, showcase some of the 2013 AIPP Epson QLD competition winners and give you the chance to win yourself a Wacom tablet valued at $399. What are you waiting for? Download it now (https://itunes.apple.com/us/app/infocus-australasia/id627335324?mt=8)!

Hello Wretched. When are you expecting it out for "Android"?

I'm afraid I can't say for certain at this stage, geoffsta. I wish I could! You can be certain I'll be heralding it from rooftops once it's happening, though.

Looks great, thanks!

I'm not sure why it asks to use the iPad microphone though??

Not sure either, MrQ. I haven't found it asked that of me at any point, but I'm no iPad expert.

Mine is another vote for hurrying the Android version along...

It asked me when I added the subscription. It wanted my email address and zip code (fair enough trade for a free magazine) and then asked permission to use the microphone. I don't mind supplying marketing info but it seems a bit creepy that the magazine wants to listen to me reading it. :P

I should point out that it was happy enough to give me the magazine even though I said NO to the microphone request. It just seemed a bit odd.

Hmm. It's a bit surprising really, it also asked me for my name, email, postcode (I refuse to be Americanised!) and when i said OK, I don't know what it did because I have never set up an email account on my ipad so there is no email address (and anyway I have changed my ISP since buying the ipad). I have never given anything like a postcode (or location) and I haven't even put my name in it. The only 'email' address on mine is the Apple ID. It never asked to be able to use the microphone either. It was still quite happy to give me the subscription plus all the back issues.
Anyway, after having had a quick look at InFocus, it seems quite good and I will look forward to reading it.

Just got it loaded up and downloaded each edition on my iPad. You guys should be super proud of this, the content is great and I love the interactive parts.

I have been reading through every edition for the last couple of days and I can't believe that this is free, I am pretty new to interactive magazines but I really like being able to view galleries and check out videos within the app, its killer.

Even if you can't currently read InFocus, you can still get involved via our Facebook page and Flickr group. We're always adding new bits of news, upcoming competitions/exhibitions etc to the FB page.

I've already told you how much I like it on Facebook. I first heard about in focus on a rss feed from this site and your mag was so good I decided to join this site and not just lurk on rss. Thanks again here for an outstanding digital mag.
