Well, we are finally here! Internet will take about 10-20 days so I invested in a mobile USB modem thingy. Licences are changed over, we have registered with Centrelink, opened a bank account, done a whole raft of other stuff and today we went and indulged ourselves with lunch at the Fish Frenzy. I reckon they have the best chips I have ever tasted. Not cheap but worth the occasional splurge - Warwick loved the brown paper cone and the 'do not feeda da boids' sign.

The cats travelled better than us and are wonderfully settled. In the end, due to delays setting off, we could not coordinate timings with our friend Patricia to collect the cat runs and tunnels I wanted to buy off her, which I really regret, I could have set the boys up beautifully from my study window to the side garden. But I have a raft of the mesh I used on our old verandah and I will devise something in the next few days.

I have also just gone through all the camera bags and cannot find any chargers! I don't think they went with the moving men so I will have to search all the boxes not yet opened. Hope I have enough charge for the Tall Ships arriving today, but I had new batteries in so am hopeful.

Finding I am very tired and need naps, I guess now I am 60 driving 2100 kms in 5 days is taking its toll!

Welcome to Hobart. Hope the weather improves for the tall-ships. I hope to get to take a look but as I am working most of the weekend, it may not happen.

Welcome to Tassie. I made the move 13 years ago and don't regret it.

I don't like all you Tasmanians.
I don't like that you live in the most beautiful place on the planet and I am stuck in Sydney :p

Glad everything was semi smooth. One day I will go back, ONE DAY!!

You're welcome to come for a holiday and stay in our little cabin in the garden, it has an ensuite but you have to go out the door & down 3 steps! :)

I am coming over to Hobart at the end of November for a week. Attending a conference but cameras are coming with me so it would be great to hook up with someone for a day and have some fun
