Gday
Im new to the forum and new to photography
I joined another photography forum but its quite slow in activity, so Ive found this one, looks good
Ive watched heaps of youtube and read lots to learn.
I just need to get out more often and take some shots.

I have a Nikon D5100 with the twin lens kit minus the 18-55 which i broke
And in the process of getting a Tamron 17-50.
Acutally I got it but its being disputed in a warranty debarkle lol

Reall keen to get into it and take some nice shots.
Cheers Cam

Welcome Cam. Pull up a chair and join in. Just for info, since Saturday just gone we have been experiencing a major server issue, so if the site disappears temporarily (an hour or two) be assured we have been working on the server over recent days. We hope to have the site stable and 100% online, but there might be some outages over the next few days as we are still to get to a full solution.

So bear with us, and hope you find we are active enough for you!

I have a couple of photos but after watching some critiquing videos online, they dont seem good enough anymore.
I did some rough light painting when I first got my camera just to learn how to do it, it was great fun and a challenge.
I learnt a ton in the first few weeks untill my lens broke, so thats sort of put a hold on things at the moment.

How do I post pictures on here? do I need to use photobucket?
cheers cam

G'day Cam. welcome to a relitively active place.:)
Don't be afraid to ask questions and generally get involved.
Also don't base what you think is a good photo of yours on what other people produce. If you want to improve, sometimes you just have to post photos, they may be better than you think. If not, you'll get some help here on how to make them better next time.

I'll dig up some pictures and put some up soon.
I'm thinking I can put some up and say whats wrong with them and get some CC as well.
I just need to re do a few, I had to format my pc not long ago and the photos that I had worked on were not saved, but I have the orignals still. :)
