So about a month ago I decided to buy my first DSLR, a Canon 650D with the Twins Lens Kit and a 50mm 1.8.

So far I've been loving it and feel myself leaning heavily towards landscapes. I'm even getting up before sunrise to try and get the best shot I can.

The best part is that I'm going to New Zealand in a month and am hoping to learn enough before I go to capture some of its beauty. (I've heard its hard to take a bad photo there!).

I'm glad I've found a site that seems to be filled to the brim with information and I can't wait to see the pictures everyone takes and learn from the best!
