I personally am not a fan of the facebook 'people choice award' style voting that is in most online comps these days, it is usually a few people spamming their entry to 1000's of their friends who vote for them and don't give anyone else a chance. I guess it serves the purpose of the competition in a way that more people are exposed to the cause/business eyc. even if it is for a short period of time.

I did entry such a competition, Im not going to post which is my entry but I would appreciate if people did vote fairly on which pictures they think deserve the prize :p

You dont need to like the page, just the pictures in the albumn, it is for rotary Australia and the theme is:

Supporting healthier minds, bodies and communities through research, awareness and education

if anyone else wants to discuss the merits or limitations of facebook voting please comment :D

hehe. I never vote for entries when someone has 'marketed' to me to do so. No better than spam in my books. Sorry

I agree, you could have a look at the entries and vote though if you wanted?

Sure if people want to it is up to them. Just stating my personal view on such matters. Each to their own

I entered a local competition once that was facebook based.

My image was not selected.:( The best image was taken on an iPhone with the purple blush across it. It was a trainwreck of a pic as composition was crap etc etc etc. It won a $1000.

The votes all came from Overseas. I just dont try anymore.
