Hi everyone,

My name is Todd, 28 from Perth. I am a complete newb to photography, infact im so noob im still in the process of picking out a camera. pretttty sure im going to go with the Nikon D5100 twin lens pack. the reason i joined is to because i saw that this site had great advice and tutorials and i wanted to see the photos taken with wich cameras so i can get a decent idea of what im doing. i hvae been looking at doing this for sometime now just looking at the best deals for cameras so hopefuly soon you shall see some photos from me up here. :)


im particulaly interested in celestial photography as i have a great love for astronomy.

- once you get a camera lets see some photos in the main CC forums (http://www.ausphotography.net.au/forum/forumdisplay.php?5) maybe try a competition or 2 and have fun!

Check the New to Photography (http://www.ausphotography.net.au/forum/showlibrary.php?title=Books:New_To_Photography_Book) book and equipment guide before purchasing - lots of good advice.

Hi Todd,

I am from Perth as well, and I am in a similar situation to you except the other way around! I know my way around a camera but have recently acquired a telescope and am trying to learn my way around the night sky. Naturally I want to take photo's of it :)
