A very sad day for the cricketing community

..... and very concerning for those of us who are older! If a fit, athletic type like Tony can suddenly develop cancer and die so quickly it tends to put the wind up those of us who haven't ever been fit to that extent.
Had a friend aged 50 do that a year or two ago - it can be very speedy. I think there is a message in there that we need to make the most of life while we have it.

Bob, I wasn't the cancer that got him, he had a heart attack today

On the television news tonight they said that he contracted lung cancer in October and it was that which killed him. I guess at the end of the day it makes little difference, but we might both be right if the lung cancer caused a heart attack. There was a very interesting chart in this morning's Age which showed the causes of death for 2010 in Australia - scary stuff when you're past 60.
