Hello everyone

i am trying to decide which DSLR camera to buy given my circumstances.

Trying to decide wether to buy a Nikon 7000 or Pentax K5.

From my film camera days I have the following lenses for Pentax:
Tamron AF 28-300 F3.5-6.3 LD Macro
Tamron AF 28-200 F3.5-6.3 LD Macro
Tamron AF 24-135 F3.5-5.5 AD
These lenses were used on a Pentax mz-5n which was a great little camera.

My question: Are the lenses above suitable/compatible with the K5?

Regards
Glen

As long as the mount is the same type, and not knowing much about Pentax mount types .. I think you're pretty safe in that they will work.

Pentax's mount types have been something like the K mount and the older M42 mount ... but I don't think M42 had AF, so I'm pretty sure you have K mount type lenses.

Even tho the lenses are a 'bit long in the tooth' they're still lenses and they'll work for 'ya for now.

K5 is a seriously good camera, and the updated version(K5-II) looks even slightly better again.
I'm not so sure about the K5-IIs tho!!
