Macro shots - fine blue edges

I use an Olympus SP-560UZ and I am finding in a number of my macro shots (I mainly photograph wildflowers) I get a fine blue line around the edges of my subjects

Can someone tell me why this is happening and better still how I can prevent it from happening

I suggest that you upload an image or two to show the problem at its worst as that will help people assess it.

I will hazard a guess though that what you are seeing is chromatic aberration and that it will be similar to what appears in this thread --- http://www.ausphotography.net.au/forum/showthread.php?25266-What-is-this-and-why-is-it-happening&highlight=chromatic+aberation --- there are a few explanations of it in the answers there. :)

It sounds like chromatic aberration, but as per the previous post, it would be best if you posted an image (preferably at full resolution) so that people can assess it.
