Kym, Photokina starts on September 18 this year, not April 1 next year. :p

Kym I can see the Nikon users are worried that Pentax will bring out a 35mm camera,is it because they know that Pentax does it better.

I'll go back to Pentax if they bring out a full frame, you havent owned a Pentax until you have owned a few Limited prime lenses.

I have started with the 31 limited and can see what you mean, sharp, sharp, and dreamy boken,I will have to learn how to take photos now,and it is full frame.

My prediction is a full frame in 2013,which will be anounced at photokina

I have very reliable information that the Canon EF 10-1000mm f/1L IS USM will not be released.

I'll be very excited if Pentax release a full-frame K-3! It will make me seriously re-think my gear acquisition strategy!

I'm hoping that the rumoured D600 with 24Mp fulll frame sensor makes it's way to market about now!

Not particularly excited by 36Mp(never have been), and 24 is probably about the most I'd ever need.

But in these D600 rumours are indications that this camera may be too dumbed down to be a cheaper, smaller 24Mp alternative to the D800 and it may not have the useful 10pin Nikon connect I now like so much.
If it doesn't have native wireless/bt or web interface capability, I'm not interested. .. so D800 it may well have to be.

But I reckon this camera is really the D300s replacement with the same 24Mp sensor that they're using in the D3200.
(although the rumours are rife that Sony's A99 is full frame and using a new 24Mp full frame sensor).

Anyhow, my money is safely tucked away now and I'm in no rush to acquire any gear right away .. I can wait for another month or so .. maybe more.
Still unsure of how the D800 quality issues are going yet.
But my priority is to find a source of one of these new fangled smart OS(Nikon or Samsung) cameras first.

C'mon already will 'yas! :umm:
