A friend has given me access to a series of photographs of the Publishing house that my father worked at most of his working life. A couple of the photos I thought may be of interest to the members of Ausphotography.
As a kid I used to wonder around this establishment and vagely remember this equipment but do not kow their make or exact use.

This is obviously a camera of reasonably large proportions but what it was used for in the establishment I know not.

I think this is a camera/ machine that had something to do with making the photographic plates for the offset press.

The world changes. Wonder if this equipment would be of use to any one today?

As a cureo maybe mark. These were taken in the early 50s and were quite up to date equipment at the time.

(the only think missing is the half unbuttoned psychedelic rayon shirt and gold chain around the neck)

Well Arthur you could be right. THe whole series (104 in all) I took these from were randon shots of the printing works that my father worked in. There was one of Dad that HAD to be taken in the early 50s so I just added that time line to ALL the shots. The shoes are not 50s either. :)
